First and foremost, This module is different than the 4 phases. The purpose of this final module is for YOU to create your own personal maintenance program to continue after the program. It is designed to help you make this transition, because soon you will be going off on your own. And if we go back to our old ways, we will experience the same problems.
The lessons in this module are more like an “Additional Resources” that will help you during the maintenance of your practice. It’s a collection of exercises aimed at keeping your core strong and balanced, hips and shoulders mobile, and your spine healthy. The lessons offer more options to test and see what works for you.
Today (if you haven’t already), complete Lesson 1 containing valuable mobility exercises for the hips and shoulders. Maybe you’ll find one that feels good for your body and will go into your maintenance program. Also, take a look at your Training Regimen to see this weeks plan.
**Note** Phase 4 is about finding the right exercises for you to incorporate into your life on a regular basis. Which exercises from the Program do you feel are the most beneficial to you? (likely the most difficult ones) Which ones feel the best during, and after you do them? Your body communicates to you when something is going right though good feelings, just like it communicates when something is wrong (through pain). Listen to your body and choose those exercises that you believe are the most beneficial to you, and then perform them regularly. Do more of what’s working!
Stick with it!
